My boys' favorite show right now is "Beauty and the Beast". So I have been watching this show A LOT, and I have noticed several things that I have never thought much of before.
For one, the picture of the Beast, that he claws through, does not look like that of an eleven year old. It looks just like him at 21 when the spell is broken. I don't know about you, but I looked much different at 21 than I did at 11.
And the 'west wing' that Beast tells Belle not to go to. He has torn it to shreds, yet left the rest of the castle in perfect order. Why is that? So that it is presentable for guests??!
And also, when Belle comes to the castle to take her father home, is she not also trespassing? Why doesn't Beast just make them both stay, why make a deal?
When Belle leaves to rescue her father, wouldn't it have been easier if Beast had just gotten him himself? That way Belle would not have left in the first place. And the village would never have attacked. seems simpler to me. though i guess that could be the problem right there.
Also, have you ever noticed the little teacup, Chip? Ten years are supposed to have passed and yet when he returns to human he is probably only 6. Isn't Mrs. Potts kinda old to have such a young child? Was he not born yet, when the spell was cast? if so, how does that work? Who is "Mr. Potts"? I have a theory about this. I think that the only logical solution must be that the furniture/trinkets/former humans don't age while they are under the spell. Thus Chip was 6 when he became a teacup and remained 6 when he became a human again.

On the subject of Chip, have you ever noticed that when his mom, Mrs. Potts, sends him "into the cupboard with your brothers and sisters" there are 20 or 30 of them? how did that happen? Mrs. Potts supposedly has 2 dozen kids? and if so where are they at the end when everyone changes back? after being a teacup for ten years you would think they would be running around like crazy.
Finally, Belle's sleeves change lengths several times during the show. Sometimes they are full length other times only to her elbow.
I am sure there are more inconsistencies. These are just off the top of my head. What are you theories? I would just like to add that I LOVE this movie, I do.

The only thing that bugs me about this movie is that the best doesn't have a real name! They call him "Beast" or "the Beast" what whole time. I doubt his parents named him Beast.
I bet Bell just rolls her sleeves up sometimes.
The multiple cups come alive, so does the suit of armor, i think those are really tea cups only allowed to come alive because of the magic.
Do you feel better?
ha!! this post makes me laugh! very thoughtful though, i guess i have never thought about that... i am going to watch it again and look for those things!
ha ha, all good questions. i notice things like this too when i watch movies a lot with lucy. we haven't watched beauty and the beast yet. we're still on little mermaid and toy story 2 and lion king.
I love that you have watched this movie enough to have theories about it! good times!
