Aquarium Adventure

We recently took a trip to the aquarium along with Steve's family. It was a blast! Since Logan was little he has had a interest in anything that lives in water. He especially loves sting rays. (so funny how kids pick totally random things as their favorites!)The aquarium has all kinds of fun things for kids to do. There is a sting ray pool, a station where someone helps them feel more delicate animals, even a series of crawl-through caves.
This is obviously the sting ray pool. Logan had a great time trying to touch the sting rays. He even tried to climb in. He was soaked. He kept wanting to go back for more.
This is Logan very gently touching some more animals . I thought he might get grossed out, but he didn't. And he was very soft with all of them.
Cute picture of Bronson "steering". He sure thinks he is big stuff. He is now trying to walk. Once he made it three steps before falling. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Logan intently studying one of the many tanks.(notice how drenched his sleeves are) I think he may be a marine biologist when he grows up.
I didn't think that Bronson would be very interested in looking at the fish but I was wrong, as you can tell from the grin on his face! He loved it! I don't know if it was the fish he loved or if he was just looking at his own reflection!

We had a great time, we purchased a season pass. No doubt we will be back again very soon.

Passing of a Prophet

I have mixed emotions about the passing of our dear Prophet. I am sad for our loss of this great man, but I can't help but feel happy for him. He will be missed. But I have to remember to be grateful that he was able to remain with us for so long. What a tremendous example he has been to me and I will forever remember the numerous contributions he has made to this world.

Potty Prize

We have been trying to get Logan to go 'poop' in the potty and today he was successful! As a treat he went to the store with daddy and picked a prize. He chose Reese's Pieces and when they were in line the cashier asked him why he got candy and he said "Because I went poop in the potty!" Then the grandma lady in front of them turned and gave him a dollar and said "Anyone who goes poop in the potty deserves a dollar!" So here is a picture in celebration of his accomplishment holding his dollar and his treat! Such a big boy!

Go Crazy!

Bronson does this cute thing where he shakes his head and waves his hands. We say he is "going crazy". I just crack up whenever he does this! Enjoy!

BCS bowl game

Last night Steve's dad and four brothers came over and watched the BCS bowl game. Bronson is a Grandpa's boy 100%. He will take Grandpa over Momma anytime. All evening Bronson was either on Grandpa's lap, playing at his feet or-as you can see in this picture- happily asleep against him. It was so cute! He never falls asleep on ME anymore! He must have been worn out from all that playing he did with his Grandpa!

Bowling with toddlers!

Just before New Years we went bowling with Steve's family. It was a blast. Logan insists that he doesn't need any help to bowl, but without help it either gets stuck halfway down or takes 5 minutes to get all the way to the pins! So funny to watch him try and pack the ball around. Always an adventure trying to take a two-and-a-half year old out in public! The girl in the second pic is Steve's sister Katie. She is such a sweetie. She is down at Snow and we miss having her around. It was so fun to get to see her for a few days.

Bathtime "ART"

One of the fun things that Logan received for Christmas was an assortment of bathtime "art supplies". This included bath tints, crayons, finger paint and foam pictures that stick to the tub. The best part is that he can make a huge mess and then he has just as much fun cleaning it up! He has a great time choosing what color bath he wants. Bathtime is a big threat now, if he is misbehaving, threatening to take away bathtime works like a charm! Such a great gift for a kid like Logan who needs a place to get messy without driving his momma crazy! Thanks for the great gift Chuck and Heather!

Christmas at our home

In the past we have always done Christmas morning at either Steve or my parents house. This year we did our own thing. We still included both sides of the family, Christmas Eve at my parents house and Christmas day at Steve's parents house. It was really odd to have just us there, still fun, but odd. It was so calm and quiet. Though I am certain that will change as the boys get older! Here are some pics of the boys that morning. Sorry so short. More to come later!
