I am taking summer classes at dixie right now.

So intimidated.

Haven't been to school in nearly a decade.

I feel too old to learn anything new.

My sister recently told me about this awesome website (well, awesome service, crappy site) It is called Bountiful Baskets. Have you heard about it? Am I the last to know? Just in case I am not, I thought I would share the info with all 2 of you that read this.

This past Saturday we loaded the kids in the car and drove over to the pickup site, we volunteered for a few minutes helping to sort produce, then we went home with our own basket. You get half fruit / half veggies. This is our haul from Saturday.

1 clamshell of blackberries

Are you as impressed as me? okay, maybe it is just me. lol.

Just in case anyone else IS interested, here is how it works.

on Monday (usually after 4pm) go to http://www.bountifulbaskets.org/ and set up an account. pick your location and pay for your basket, then on Saturday bring a laundry basket or box. easy. try it. let me know what you think.

sneak peek

With Logan's birthday just around the corner, I have been keeping myself busy working on his 'ocean animals' party. I still have some things to work out, like invites, but for the most part I have it pretty well squared away. We have some fun things planned, and I think it is gonna be a cute party. Here is a sneak peek on what I have been working on lately.

You can't have an under the sea party without a fishing game, right? This is the curtain I have been working on, and the best part is it didn't cost us anything, I had every bit on hand already from previous projects. Can't beat free! I just had to include this pic. how cute is that?? I especially love that I don't have to change bums anymore, yea Bronson!

worries

Random post tonight.

I should be sleeping, it is 12:30 am. I am not. Logan came in about 11:30 saying that he had had a bad dream and needed cuddles. I was more than happy to oblige. I took him back to his room and laid down by him for a while and we got to talking. For some reason the baby that we lost was on his mind and he wanted to talk about it. (for any who don't know/can't remember i miscarried january '09.) He is old enough to remember that i was pregnant and we were going to have a baby and that the baby died and that mama was sad about it for a long time (and still has a hard time with it). I don't really know how to explain things to him in a way that doesn't scare him but still tells him the truth. I tried to tell him that sometimes when mommies have babies in their tummies the baby isn't healthy. I don't know how much he understands, but he understands enough to cry about it and ask if we will get to see the baby again in heaven. I told him that we would, because mommy and daddy were married in the temple our family gets to be together forever. That seemed to help, but only so much.

My heart is breaking for this tenderhearted little boy I have. Such a sweet little spirit. I wish he didn't have so much to deal with, but he does. His mommy is sick so often that it makes him sad to talk about. He worries so much about me. I hate it. The other day he told me that he loved me more than anyone in the world, I asked him why and he said because it makes him sad when I am sick. I hate that when they look back on their childhood, likely the biggest thing they will remember is mommy being sick so often. I worry about how this is shaping their lives.

Anyway, I should probably get some sleep. sorry so random.

Easter Treats

Bronson's birthday party

A little late coming, I know. But here are a few pictures from Bronson's birthday party. We had a great, crazy time. As you know, it was a bug party, so we did a couple different buggy things.

Upon arrival each child was given an antenna headband to wear, though those admittedly, didn't last long.

We had a bug hunt, where each kid got a bug net and a basket. I had 'hidden' (read: randomly thrown) about 100 little plastic bugs in our yard, along with about 50 cute Easter egg Bugs. The kids had a great time finding and collecting the bugs.

(most of the favors were from Oriental Trading Company)

We did a ladybug/oreo game where each child got an oreo and opened it, licked one side and tried (blindfolded) to stick it on the ladybug's missing spot.

we also had some fun buggy favors, there were finger puppets, wind up bugs,

and some gummy bug candy (though those melted before anyone got any. too bad. they were grossly realistic!)

My good friend Heather made the most amazing cake for the party. really spectacular. Each of the kids got to pick a fondant bug to eat too. My boys are still talking about this!

And of course there were about a million presents for the birthday boy to tear through.

Bronson and Gramps were sure tuckered out after a long day of partying. So stinkin' sweet!
