Bronson's First Birthday

Well, yesterday was not Bronson's first birthday, however we had a party anyway. His actual birthday isn't until the 16th but since we are celebrating with each side of the family we are having two parties. He just adores music. Anytime there is music on, or even Logan singing the ABC's he starts "dancing". So we planned a music themed party. We had a lot of fun breaking my seemingly indestructable pinata-which I was shocked by because I was just hoping it was strong enough to hold the candy-

I worked really hard on the cakes- (made all three of them by myself- a small one for Bronson and two big ones for everyone else)- and then the frosting FELL off of the sides of the big cakes so they looked terrible at the party. I was very frustrated. I am just glad I got pics before they fell apart.

Instead of "pin the tail on the donkey" we did "pin the note on the saxophone". I didn't get any pics of it at the party, but I got one before shot with Logan (the reason he has no pants on is because we are potty-training right now.) I cut out little music notes and had the kids try to stick them on the saxophone.

We have video of Bronson eating his cake but my photo program isn't working, so here are a couple pics. He was pretty funny, he was being so careful and delicate, picking the frosting off the top. I actually had to help him smash it a bit so that he could see that there was more than just frosting.

Some good friends came to celebrate with us, though it was so hectic I barely got to say hi to them (sorry Tanya, Amber, and Katie! I really do appreciate that you came!) Lastly, here are some pics of the present opening.
