picture overload!

Logan seems to have an internal clock that won't allow him to sleep past 7. He likes to get himself dressed and help himself to breakfast. This particular morning he also got breakfast for Bronson. They were so cute sitting there together.

Daddy and his boys.

While we were up north for Taelie's baby blessing and Easter the boys and I decided to stay a few extra days. We had a great time. For the first part of the weekend we stayed at my sister, JoAnne's house. The kids played a ton, made cookies, and some crafts. I even taught my 11 year old nephew the Rubik's cube. It was great. My kids absolutely adore their cousins. So nice of them to put up with us for a few days. After Steve left we stayed at his parents house. We were busy while there too. We went to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point with JoAnne and the kids, the Bean Museum, Kangaroo Zoo, and I even got to see a movie ("Knowing").

At the Bean Museum. We have taken the boys here before, but it had been awhile. They LOVED it. I had to make sure we got a picture in front of the elephant and rhinoceros because they were Bronson's absolute favorite. He would have stayed with them the whole time if we let them. He just kept running back and forth between the two. So so cute! Logan had a great time too. He has always loved any kind of animal.

At Kangaroo Zoo. Boys had a great time. A little crowded though.

I took so many pictures of Bronson climbing this ladder, I just couldn't believe it.

The slide on the other side of the ladder. Woo woo! Go Bronson!

Took way too much effort to get Logan to hold still for 5 seconds so I could actually get a picture of him!

I took this picture on the way to Beaver (Steve's dad drove us to Beaver where Steve met us to take us the rest of the way). Look at those matching cheesy grins! You'd think these two were brothers or something!

Day at the Park

Bronson just being a cutie on our way over to the park. We have been trying out different parks around us lately and have found several we like. I just wish they were within walking distance.Bronson loves to swing. Notice his hair. I have since cut it and he looks so grown up. My parents came to visit a few weeks ago and my mom thought he looked like a girl. I decided it was time to just let go.
Logan used to love swinging. but lately he seems to be afraid of everything. he started out fine, but as you can see it didn't last long.

laugh or get angry?

Bronson was supposed to be sleeping. He wasn't. It had been a several minutes so I went in to get him, deciding that I would try his nap again in a little while. When I opened the door I just about passed out. The smell was awful. I knew he had a really bad diaper. Little did I know it was worse than that. Much worse. Nothing could have prepared me for what had actually happened. After doing a quick scan I cleverly deduced what had occurred. Bronson had had a poopy diaper. He then proceeded to take off his pants and his diaper. That apparently wasn't good enough. He decided that it would be a good idea to "fingerpaint" all over his pack'n'play. And himself. Face included.

It was disgusting. I could go into further detail about the nastiness of it but I won't. I do have pictures for anyone that is interested. I thought it would be a bit much to post on here. I took them for Steve since he wasn't home at the time. I wanted him to see what I had to deal with.

I literally had one of those moments when you make a conscious decision to laugh or get mad. This time I laughed. I am glad I did. It made the whole 'bis-gusting' experience that much more bearable. Bronson had one bath, I think it will take a few more to fully eradicate the stench.

Mickey Mouse trauma

Bronson LOVES "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse". There is this particular episode where Pete says the wrong magic words and makes the clubhouse float away. For some reason this is VERY horrifying to Bronson and if I am not in the room he inevitably comes bawling to me. Logan is no help, he only makes things worse by telling Bronson that Mickey won't fix it. Crazy little guys!

Little Guy

We had Bronson's 2 year check up the other day, apparently we have a bit of a shrimp on our hands. He is not even in the 40th percentile for weight or height. Steve says he doesn't get it from him side!

Who will Logan marry?

Logan is very interested in people being married lately. When we were trying to explain it to him we said that you marry someone that you love that you want to be with all of the time. He responded that he wanted to marry Bronson. Now, of course, I thought that was sweet, but also, obviously inappropriate. I knew he would have no idea what incest was so I didn't bother telling him that he couldn't marry someone he was related to. Instead, I told him that boys marry girls. He thought for a second and said that he wanted to marry me. I thought this was very sweet but again tried to explain to him simply why he couldn't marry me. I told him that I was already married to daddy. At this point he started bawling. Through tears he said "I just don't know who I am going to marry!" I told him when he is older daddy and I will help him find someone who he wants to marry. He was still so upset that he couldn't marry me and offered the compromise of being married to me AND daddy. at which point I am thinking "great, more explaining". So I told him that you can only marry one person and that I was already married to daddy and I was too old for him anyway. He was still upset but seemed to be okay with waiting to find his wife for a few more years. Sweetie boy.

Tough Bronson

Lately it seems as though Bronson is suddenly talking. I know, he has been talking forever. It just seems like in the last few days he has decided that he likes to use sentances and a wider variety of words. It feels like he is suddenly not a baby anymore. Exciting for him. Sad for mama.
