We bought our kitchen table and bench for $20 and I have been wanting to paint it black forever. Today I finally got around to it and I am really pleased with the results. I have several more projects that need to be done, but it is always nice to get one actually finished!

Here is a short video of Logan reading his first book all by himself. He just got this book yesterday! (thanks, Grandma Jackie!) He is already loving it and showing off for whoever will let him. Enjoy!

Sleeping Bronson

Some Cabo

I have been waiting to blog about Cabo until I had the pictures to illustrate it. Long story short, we just got the pics today. I know there are a lot here, and I apologize for that, but beware, this is but a fraction and there are actually more to come. Once we get the dolphin pics I will have to blog those too, but i think there are only 2 or 3 of those.

First off when we landed in Mexico we saw a 'celebrity'! (I say 'celebrity' because I only know of one film he has been in and I don't even know his name.) Anyway, it was Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. so that was kinda fun.

The place we stayed was the Riu Palace and it was awesome. Now, I have never personally been on a cruise, but from what I have heard this place is pretty much like a cruise, but of course dry and stationary. EVERYTHING was included. Even room service and mini-bar. All of our meals, drinks you name it. The only thing we paid for in the hotel was tipping. It was great. Some of the waiters thought that we were so odd because we weren't drinking and I think we saved the hotel a lot of money that way.

Steve went deep sea fishing very early in the morning and caught this gorgeous shot of the sunrise.

We spent A LOT of our time just walking on the beach and enjoying the water barely wetting our feet. This day we actually walked on the beach all the way into town. It was so fun just "window" shopping and bartering for the best price.




The hotel has 5 restaurants in it all of which are included in your stay. This particular night was the "Gourmet" restaurant. The other people are co-workers of Steve's, Breanne and Crissi, and their husbands, Trevor and Dave.

This thing is driving me nuts! I am trying to get all the explanations under the photos and it isn't cooperating. Hope this isn't too painful to read. So, anyway, we had an awesome time and it was so great of Steve's job to pay for it all. I wish it were longer. I was not ready to come home. Oh, and from what I hear the boys did great and Steve's parents while we were gone too. So that was an unexpected blessing. I will post dolphin pics when Steve gets them to me.

Tonight we were playing with play-doh and Bronson kept having me make him lions. (you know with the little mold that you fold closed) anyway, as soon as he had one he promptly pulled its head off. he then put all the heads in one pile and all the bodies in another pile. kinda concerning, but SO funny! enjoy!

Busy, busy, busy.

Things are busy here as always. Even if we just stay home it seems so hectic all the time, I am not sure how we accomplish this.

We have been working hard trying to get things down-sized and organized. Normally I would have tried to do this while packing up but with the miscarriage and all I didn't do any of the packing. I am feeling good now and I feel ready to tackle all of our clutter and excess and I think it is going to be a big difference when it is all done. So, if any of you are near St. George and you need toys I can hook you up! We have WAY too many and we seriously need to find a new home for them. --Of course you may only be interested in this if you have boys, because that is the only kind we have!

I have been learning a new skill that I am sure you will all be jealous of. Steve has been teaching me how to solve the Rubik's cube. I am LOVING it. I have only learned how to do the first two rows so far but I have them pretty well down now so I think I will have him teach me the final row. It is seriously so fun I can't believe I didn't learn sooner. I love this kind of stuff though, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, tetris, all of it. Man, I am such a geek.

As an incentive last year Steve's company offered a Cabo San Lucas trip and we leave for that early Saturday morning. We are leaving here tomorrow afternoon and will stay the night with Steve's family. The boys are going to be with them while we are gone. I am so excited! We haven't had a single vacation since we have been married. Though we did have one night away last May for our anniversary-does that count? I get to swim with dolphins and learn to do tricks with them and stuff! Seriously. So excited!

In other news the boys have been up to their usual tricks. Bronson does this thing when he is getting in trouble that just melts me and I can't help but smile. What he does is this. First you have to picture Bronson and the sweet, yet uber-mischevious grin he has. got it? okay. We were attempting to get the boys to fall asleep in the same room at the same time. (yeah, it didn't work) and I kept having to go in there and get after them to go to sleep. when I did Bronson would swiftly climb back in his bed and lay down and grin up at me and say "goooood?" Now if you are reading this while picturing his puppy-dog eyes and his impish grin you should be laughing out loud- or at least smirking! what? you aren't? Man, I am such a sucker for these boys.

Another cute thing. Bronson had a toy that Logan wanted and of course I wouldn't let Logan snatch it (despite his best efforts to). So Logan sat "patiently" and waited for Bronson to put it down. After just a minute or so Bronson handed to him and said "share?" AHHH, so sweet. Seriously, melt my heart.

Today we were taking the boys out to dinner and I was combing their ridiculously unruly hair. I had to use water and a comb to make it semi-cooperate. While I was combing Bronson's hair Logan got a comb and started dipping it in and 'combing' his hair. Basically he had one spot on his head that was soaked and the rest was bone dry. After I finished Bronson's I moved on to Logan's. Bronson took this as an open invitation to comb his own hair. This started out fine but soon turned into Bronson sucking the water off the comb and dipping it back in for more. ewww. sick.

Wow, this turned into a long post. I need to blog more often!

Finally Updated!

I know I haven't blogged forever, but as always I actually do have good reasons. We moved in December, and I just got my internet hooked up today. It has been hard not having internet. Really made me realize how much I do online. All my banking and eBaying, chatting with friends, taking a break from crazy boys, looking up anything and everything from phone numbers to directions to prices. In a way (a very small way) it was kind of nice not to have the distractions. But I think it is going to be even nicer having such a useful tool back at my disposal.

Back to updating. For those of you who don't know, I miscarried on the 3rd. I was 14 weeks. I don't really want to talk about it, it has probably been one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. Maybe in awhile it won't be quite so raw and I will be able to blog about it then. No promises.

We moved to Saint George on the 31st. It is a 3 bedroom apartment right by the school. We are still settling in but I think this is going to be a really good fit for us. We have only been to our ward once and everyone was really friendly and helpful. We would really like to get Logan involved in some activities like preschool, gymnastics, or karate, so we are looking around for that kind of thing.

Steve is attending Nursing School and really enjoying it. He is also working from home at the same job he had previously. They worked it out so that he could work remotely. Such a blessing, and also so hard to try and have the boys in one room. Hasn't really worked so far. Hopefully, we will be able to get things worked out.

Other than that the boys are adjusting well. We have a little balcony that they spend a lot of their time on, so nice to be able to be outside without bundling up. Logan is trying to behave himself so that he can earn a Buzz Lightyear doll, and he is just about there. Bronson is still a trouble boy with the sweetest puppy-dog-face you have ever seen. They both love Toy Story and Mr. Potato Head. They are busy and they keep me busy. Wouldn't have it any other way. well. . . . maybe a little less busy would be okay!

Overall things are going well. Again, sorry it took so long to post. Hope people still check my blog!
